On Valentine’s Day–after decades of marriage–the love of my life became a runaway husband. With no advance warning or communication, he ripped off his mask, allowed his cape to drop to the floor, and vanished into thin air.
The takeaway from this is that I now know that you never know what will happen when you wake up in the morning.
You may discover something simple — like your dog made a mess on the carpet — or you may learn that your husband is an emotional terrorist about to unleash a thermonuclear weapon in your living room.
